My favorite postpartum items

welcoming a little one marks the start of an incredible journey—and the fourth trimester calls for thoughtful comfort. From nighttime nursing to soothing sore spots, here are my tried-and-true postpartum staples that made recovery easier:

1. Nursing-Friendly Nightgowns

opt for soft, button-front or snap-style gowns that offer easy nursing access while letting you feel cozy and put-together. admittedly I still use my postpartum nightgowns.

2. Oversized Underwear (Ice-Pack Friendly)

high-waisted, stretchy underwear designed to hold cooling pads or ice packs right where you need relief. These give gentle belly support and make managing swelling simpler.

3. Plush Slippers with Grippy Bottoms

Soft, cushioned slippers help ease swollen feet and offer traction while you navigate nighttime diaper runs. Go for styles with textured soles to prevent slips—exactly what experts recommend for mom comfort in the early days

4. Thick, Hydrating Lip Balm

hormones and sleepless nights can leave lips dry and chapped. keep a rich, buttery balm by your bedside to soothe cracked lips fast. The thicker, the better!

5. Slushie Cup or Straw Tumbler

staying hydrated—especially when breastfeeding—is key. a slushie cup or insulated tumbler with a straw helps you sip cold drinks hands-free while holding baby. bonus: gives a little fun treat during long nights

6. wide leg yoga pants

these flattering pants were comfy but not frumpy which is hard to achieve postpartum
